摘要：En el entorno académico cubano antropólogos, historiadores, psicólogos y sociólogos encabezaron el interés profesional a la hora de promover estudios con enfoque de género. Paulatinamente, otras disciplinas se han sumado a ese interés y entre ellas sobresale, sobre todo en la última década, la Comunicación. Sin embargo, están lejos de ser suficientes las investigaciones que abordan el tema desde la perspectiva del Periodismo y la Comunicación Social, aunque su número ha crecido sustancialmente en los últimos años. Los principales déficit de esos acercamientos están relacionados con la poca participación de hombres como autores y su casi total concentración en el análisis de los emisores, entre otras. La principal ganancia, que se ha ido conformando un referente teórico propio como punto de partida para otros estudios. ABSTRACT In the Cuban academic environs anthropologists, historians, psychologist and sociologists headed the professional interest to promote studies with a genre approach. Eventually, other disciplines have add them self to that interest and between them excels, mostly in the last decade, the Communication. However, the research that treat the topic from the Journalism and the Social Communication Perspective are far from being enough, even though its number have substantially grown in the last few years. The main deficit of these approaches are related to the little participation of men as authors and their almost total focus in the transmitter analysis, among others.
