摘要：O presente trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar resultados preliminares de reflexões a respeito do ensino dos sistemas de classificação dos seres vivos (abordando a taxonomia e a sistemática filogenética) e o desenvolvimento da função psíquica pensamento, tendo como enfoque o pensamento abstrato empírico e o pensamento abstrato teórico. Para isso, tomamos como referencial as proposições de Vigotski e Davidov sobre o desenvolvimento do pensamento conceitual, bem como elementos fundamentais da taxonomia e da sistemática filogenética sistematizados por Mayr e Amorim. Foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica a partir da qual foi possível identificar elementos da ciência empírica e da lógica formal na taxonomia, bem como elementos da ciência teórica e da lógica dialética na sistemática filogenética. Discutimos a relação entre o ensino destes sistemas de classificação e o desenvolvimento do pensamento rigorosamente abstrato. Merece atenção o fato de que, lamentavelmente, a sistemática não é elemento constituinte do ensino de Biologia na educação básica.
其他摘要：The present work aims to expose preliminary results of reflections on the teaching of living things classification systems (addressing taxonomy and phylogenetic systematics) and the development of the psychic function “thought”, focusing on empirical abstract thought and theoretical abstract thought. In order to achieve the mentioned objective, we take as a reference the proposals of Vygotsky and Davidov on the development of conceptual thought as well as key elements of phylogenetic systematics systematized by Mayr and Amorim. We conducted a bibliographic research through which it was possible to identify elements of empirical science and formal logic in taxonomy, as well as elements of theoretical science and dialectical logic in phylogenetic systematics. We discuss the relationship between the teaching of these classification systems and the development of strictly abstract thought. It deserves attention to the fact that, unfortunately, systematics is not a constituent element of the biology teaching of elementary and high school.
