摘要：Tra tutti i materiali con cui l'uomo ha prodotto e produce artefatti, la pietra, substrato delle tracce più ataviche della storia dell'uomo, è quello che maggiormente evoca memorie ancestrali e qualità simboliche che rimandano a un passato antichissimo, che affonda le sue radici nelle origini delle civiltà preistoriche.Il design che sceglie di confrontarsi con pietre, graniti e marmi non può esimersi dal considerare e interpretare il valore evocativo di queste risorse ma deve anche tenere conto del paradigma del limite che si impone nella relazione contemporanea tra l'uomo e la pietra in diverse forme: nei vincoli di estrazione, nella ristretta varietà di processi di trasformazione e produzione adeguati, in un mercato di riferimento fortemente vincolato dal prezzo elevato della materia prima.
其他摘要：Stones, among all the materials used to produce artefacts, is the substratum of the most ancestral human traces and still evokes, more than others, ancestral memories and symbolic qualities which are tooted in the prehistorical origins of civilisations.Designers who choose to deal with stones, granites and marbles can not avoid considering and interpreting such an evocative value. But they must also take into account the paradigm of the limit which conditions contemporary relationship between man and stone in different forms: in the extraction constraints, in the restrict variety of suitable production processes, in a market that is strongly constrained by the high price of the raw material.
