摘要：La Batalla de Mal Tiempo constituyó un hecho de singular importancia tanto para la campaña invasora de la Guerra Necesaria como la localidad en la cual tuvo lugar.El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo argumentar la trascendencia histórica de la Batalla de Mal Tiempo en el municipio de Cruces.Para ello se consultó un total de nueve fuentes bibliográficas, entre ellas dos libros, dos multimedias obtenidas del Museo Municipal de Cruces y al resto se accedió a través de Internet.Se concluyó que esta acción constituyó una gran epopeya del ejército mambí y que trasciende en la historia de Cruces expresándose mediante sus símbolos, en el monumento erigido en Mal Tiempo y en el Día del Crucense.Palabras clave: Batalla de Mal Tiempo, Monumento de Mal Tiempo, símbolos locales.ABSTRACT The Battle of Mal Tiempo was a fact of singular importance both for the invasion campaign of the Necessary War and the locality in which it took place.The objective of this paper was to argue the historical significance of the Battle of Mal Tiempo in the municipality of Cruces.For this, a total of nine bibliographical sources were consulted, including two books, two multimedia obtained from the Municipal Museum of Cruces and the rest was accessed through the Internet.It was concluded that this action constituted a great epic of the Mambí army and that it transcends in the history of Cruces expressing itself through its symbols, in the monument erected in Mal Tiempo and in the Day of the Cruces.
