其他摘要:This study analyzes the relation between the expenses on the justice sector and criminality during the twentieth century in Colombia. For this purpose, the municipal expenditure budgets intended for justice departments, the number of crimes compiled annually by the Statistical Yearbooks of Colombia and the National Census of 1918, 1938 and 1948 were revised. Among other findings, it was established that the decisions of municipal councils regarding expenses on justice affected the performance and efficiency of judicial institutions and the level of crime.
