摘要：En este trabajo se presenta una investigación sobre la génesis y la evolución de la noción de límite finito . Para tal propósito realizamos un estudio de tipo histórico-documental, en el cual se consideraron elementos relacionados con la estructuración conceptual de dicha noción: los números reales, el infinito, la noción de aproximación, el continuo geométrico y el continuo numérico. Para este estudio se considera como punto de inicio el trabajo de los griegos, específicamente el desarrollo y uso del método de exhaución, continuando con la introducción de los indivisibles por Viéte y Cavallieri y la producción matemática generada en los inicios del cálculo diferencial por Newton y Leibnitz, finalizando con las etapas de formalización del límite y sus generalizaciones métricas y topológicas en el análisis estándar. Como resultado de nuestra investigación se distinguen siete estadios de comprensión del objeto matemático límite.
其他摘要：In this work an investigation about the genesis and evolution of the concept of finite
limit is presented. For this purpose we performed a historical-documentary study in
which elements related to the conceptual structure of this notion were considered:
real numbers, the infinite, the approximation notion, the geometrical continuous and
the numerical continuous. For this study, the work of the Greeks is considered as a
starting point, specifically the development and use of the exhaustion method,
continuing with the introduction of the indivisibles by Viéte and Cavallieri and the
mathematical production generated in the beginnings of differential calculus by
Newton and Leibnitz, finalizing with the stages of formalization of the limit and its
metric and topological generalizations in the standard analysis. As a result of our
investigation, seven stages of understanding of the mathematical object of finite
limit were distinguished.
