摘要:September 11, 2001 would never kill the spirit of the world’s builders and entrepreneurs. The vision, determination, and leadership of those who built and managed the World Trade Center in New York live on. This paper takes a retrospective look at the project management of the World Trade Center in New York City during the 1960s and 1970s. It collects the experience and the lessons learned by those who had the vision the leadership, and the organizational skills to initiate and execute what was one of the biggest construction projects in the world at that time. While many of today’s project management concepts did not exist at that time, a retrospective analysis suggests that the WTC builders had implicitly the right understanding of those ideas. This paper is presented as a tribute to great project management and an inspiration to future builders.
