摘要：Episódios de sibilância nos primeiros anos de vida são comuns e vários fatores tem sido associado a eles. O objetivo é verificar os fatores associados à sibilância no primeiro ano de vida nos lactentes e pré-escolares matriculados em cinco creches municipais da cidade de Santos. É um Estudo transversal, realizado em Junho de 2017 a Junho de 2018, com a aplicação de questionário aos responsáveis das crianças. Foi calculado o índice de Massa corporal das crianças. Foram avaliadas 207 crianças. Houve associação entre sibilância no primeiro ano de vida e freqüência de resfriados e com a entrada na creche com menos de um ano de vida. Conclui-se que a idade em que entrou na creche e número de resfriados foram associados a sibilância no primeiro ano de vida. FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH WHEEZING IN THE FIRST YEAR OF LIFE IN INFANTS AND PRESCHOOLERS OF MUNICIPAL DAYCARE IN SANTOS Wheezing episodes in the first years of life are very common and several factors have been associated with them. The objective is to verify the associated factors with wheezing in the first year of life in infants and preschoolers registered in five municipal daycares in Santos. The study cross-sectional, it was carried out on June of 2017 to June of 2017, with the application of a questionnaire for the children’s parents. The children's body mass index was calculated. 207 children were assessed. There was an association between wheezing in the first year of life and the frequency of colds and with entry into the daycare with less than one year of life. The conclusion is the age of ingress in daycare and the number of colds in the first year of life were associated with wheezing at first year of life.
