摘要：O objetivo deste artigo é mostrar a relação existente entre o mito platônico de Thot no diálogo Fedro e no De umbris idearum de G. Bruno, através da reformulação do binômio escrita/memória. O método de Bruno promete potencializar ao infinito a memória e pode ser lido como uma resposta a tese platônica.
