摘要：O artigo se propõe a discutir e refletir sobre as representações das novas configurações familiares na telenovela.Como objeto de estudo foi escolhida a telenovela Amor à Vida (2013) da Rede Globo de Televisão.Como procedimento metodológico foi utilizada a Análise de Conteúdo proposta por Bardin (2011), a fim de analisar três sequências com a presença do personagem Félix.Foi percebido que a sua orientação sexual influenciou a formação de uma nova configuração familiar.Nesse sentido, a telenovela contribuiu para discutir as diferentes formas das relações familiares, referenciando as mudanças dos padrões sociais e familiares da sociedade contemporânea.
