摘要：Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo identificar se a participação de jovens das camadas populares nos projetos de arte e educação social de uma organização do Terceiro Setor em seu tempo de lazer os influenciou a se apropriarem da arte, inclusive como forma de lazer. Para tanto, adotou-se como metodologia uma pesquisa qualitativa, com enfoques bibliográfico-documental e de campo. Com a análise dos dados, percebeu-se que tais iniciativas exercem forte influência para a apropriação da arte por parte dos sujeitos estudados. Entretanto, os interesses desses jovens quanto à arte são diversificados, podendo ser entendida como trabalho, como lazer ou como instrumento de transformação social. Uma das dificuldades percebidas foi a manutenção do espaço ainda prioritariamente ligado ao orçamento público.
其他摘要：This article aims to identify if the participation of young people from the popular strata in projects of art and social education of a Third Sector organization in their leisure time, influenced them to appropriation’ art, even as a form of leisure. For that, a qualitative research was adopted as methodology, with bibliographic-documentary and field approaches. With the data analysis, it was noticed that such initiatives exert a strong influence on the appropriation of the art by the studied subjects. However, the desires of these young people in art are diversified, and can be understood as work, as leisure or as an instrument of social transformation. One of the perceived difficulties was the maintenance of the space still primarily linked to public funding.
