摘要：Nesta entrevista concedida à Revista Maracanan, o professor discute as “teorias da crise” de viés marxista e (neo)liberal e aborda a relação entre a noção da barbárie contemporânea, a crise mundial não resolvida após a II Guerra – apenas amenizada na forma de uma “trégua”, nos trinta “anos gloriosos” (c. 1945-1975) – e a história do capitalismo. Considerando as origens e desdobramentos das questões envolvidas no “colapso do capitalismo” por suas autocontradições, geradoras de massas humanas excluídas das possibilidades de sobrevivência minimamente dignas, e sem abrir mão de sua verve contundente, Menegat analisa a situação do Brasil hoje, tanto do prisma econômico quanto político e cultural, e chama a atenção para o fato de que “A humanidade não cabe mais nos cálculos da economia.
