摘要：Este artículo se desarrolla a través de la revisión teórica y conceptual sobre los mapas del conocimiento y su elaboración, se desarrollan en los siguientes temas: los antecedentes; que es un mapa del conocimiento; beneficios del mapeo del conocimiento; principios para la creación del mapa del conocimiento; fuentes del mapeo del conocimiento; etapas para el mapeo del conocimiento y conclusiones, se ubicaron sesenta y ocho (68) documentos en fuentes secundarias de bases de datos de artículos científicos como: Scopus, WoS, y Scielo, y el tipo de revisión es cualitativo, descriptivo.
