摘要：En este trabajo se esboza el papel desempeñado por la lengua vasca en la historia de Navarra.La falta de consenso que existe en la actualidad en la denominada «Comunidad Foral» en torno a la identidad de los navarros y de su futuro institucional dificulta enormemente un acercamiento historiográfico a la cuestión.La historia del Viejo Reino, y no digamos ya la de sus lenguas, tal vez más que ninguna otra, se escribe ad probandum .En Navarra, el euskara es objeto de manipulación ya sea por exceso, por parte del nacionalismo vasco, atribuyéndole una extensión que nunca alcanzó, como por defecto, por parte del nacionalismo español y/o el navarrismo, negando u obviando el hecho de que el vascuence fue la lengua mayoritaria de los navarros hasta el siglo xix.
其他摘要：This work outlines the role played by the Basque language in the history of Navarre. The lack of consensus that currently exists in the so-called «Foral Community» about the identity of the Navarrese and their institutional future makes the historiographical approach to this question very difficult. The history of the Old Kingdom, not to say that of its languages, perhaps more than any other history, is usually written ad probandum . In Navarre, the Basque language is manipulated by two extremes. On the one hand, Basque nationalism attributes to it an expanse of land larger than the area it has ever had in reality. On the other, Spanish Nationalism and Navarrism deny or ignore the fact that it was the language of the majority of the Navarrese until the 19 th century.
