摘要：Analisa a relação entre cultura e identidade sob o prisma de que não é mais possível, no mundo contemporâneo, ignorar o peso de questões culturais e de identidade na ação política e coletiva. Observa como os chamados movimentos sociais - de grupos religiosos, redes e articulações de atores - emergiram no contexto contemporâneo com visibilidade e respeitabilidade, tornando-se, num mundo crescentemente plural, lugares de mudanças que não os da economia e da política ou da produção e do Estado. The author observes how so called social movements - involving religious groups, networks and articulations of social actors - have emerged and become sites of change other than those of the economy and state politics, in an increasingly plural world.
