摘要：Este artigo apresenta alguns dos discursos políticos mobilizados na construção da Biblioteca Ayacucho, inaugurada em 1974 pela Presidência da Venezuela. Através da história intelectual, analiso os mecanismos que inicialmente organizaram o passado que funda tanto a narrativa da Biblioteca como o conceito de América Latina que ela expõe. Cabe ressaltar que esse passado é altamente plástico e maleável porque, até os dias de hoje, a Biblioteca Ayacucho, independentemente dos usos políticos, é um projeto de difusão cultural bem-sucedido com mais de quarenta anos de existência.
其他摘要：This article presents the political discurses mobilized in the construction of Biblioteca Ayacucho, inaugurated in 1974 by the Presidency of Venezuela. Trough the intellectual history, I analyze the mechanisms that initially organized the past that founds both the Biblioteca’s narrative and the concept of Latin America that it exposes. It should be noted that this past is highly plastic and malleable because, to this day, the Bibilioteca Ayacucho, regardless of political uses, is a successful cultural diffusion project with more than forty years of existence.
