摘要：El Instituto Católico de Artes e Industria (ICAI) nace en la primera década del siglo XX con la finalidad de proporcionar a la clase obrera madrileña un medio eficaz para su promoción social. La identidad católica y la vocación educativa son los ingredientes básicos para esta obra en la que los estudios de ingeniería y los talleres están también al servicio del primer fin. En este trabajose presenta un análisis sobre las clases nocturnas para obreros en sus primeros veinte años de existencia. Para ello nos aproximamos en esta primera etapa a os objetivos formativos, los planes de estudio y su desarrollo, los destinatarios y los logros.
其他摘要：The Catholic Institute of Industry and Arts (ICAI) sets up in the first decade of the twentieth Century. Its aim was to facilitate to the working class away of social promotion. Catholic identity and educative vocation were present since the beginning in its activities. Engineering studies and workshops contribute to the same objective. In this paper, an analysis of the first twenty years of existence of theses classes is presented. In this first period of time we focus onits educational objectives, the curriculum and its development, the students and its achievements.
