摘要:This paper analyzes the mythological characters of the Moires, Athena and Ariadne, all of them Greek goddesses symbolically linked to tasks related to spinning and weaving. From there, the article proposes an interpretation of those feminine figures in terms of empowerment, as rereading these characters enables a dialogue with tradition to find in it new elements which can contribute to the development of feminism. The Moires, in charge of weaving the threa dwhich rules human destiny, represent the invisibility of women’s work. Athena symbolizes theoretic and practical wisdom, and she inspires a vindication of acknowledgment of female value. Lastly, Ariadne entails a realistic vision of the road to self-knowledge and the difficulties that might arise along it.
