摘要：There are differences between women and men in the patterns of mortality and morbidity, in their perception of the symptoms and in the management of their health problems. In the case of the use of health services the studies show women use more all the types of healthcare services, but especially the primary healthcare ones. This also happens in the case of other therapeutic resources as the alternative and complementary medicines. The objective of this paper is to present the obstacles to study the use of these resources in the case of women’s health and to analyze the data available in our context. Finally, we will present some reflections on the place of the alternative and complementary medicines in the therapeutic itineraries of women.
