摘要:This paper undertakes a discussion of two central questions on the relationship between science and feminism: the place of women in science and technology and the androcentric bias of scientific knowledge. It analyses how feminist epistemology represents a sound base in analyzing scientific knowledge. Two case studies are included for critical examination: the analysis of discourse on sexual dimorphism within handbooks of neural sciences and the case of research literature of the Alzheimer illness. The concluding part of this paper studies the changes introduced by feminism within the Spanish science community and takes into account the number of published papers, the professional status of women scientists within the academy as well as their presence within the institution.
