摘要：Pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, realizada na literatura médica e jurídica internacional e nacional, para apurar a validade da construção de bases dogmáticas e jurídicas do tema, com enfoque no direito brasileiro. Aborda as diretivas antecipadas de vontade como legítimo exercício da autonomia privada do paciente, diante da terminalidade da vida.

It investigates the validity of the construction of dogmatic and legal bases of the subject, focusing on Brazilian law. It also addresses the advance directives as the legitimate exercise of the patient's private autonomy, facing the termination of life.
