摘要:Someone who works in agency would have retirement. As elderly, retired person would have some changes in the aspect of physical, social, and emotional. The changes would have an impact on their view about themselves, named self-concept. In the other side, to have good psychological well being, they should have ability to bounce back and adapt in their retirement life. Based on the theoretical perspective, self concept is one of the factors that affect resilience, a person's ability to be able to bounce back from hard times. The study was conducted to look at the role of self-concept on the resilience of pensioners. The design of this study is associative. The sampling technique used in this study is incidental sampling with a sample size of 80 people. Self-concept and resilience measurement is using questionnaire. The results of the study showed the value of F = 81.53 and p = 0.000 (p <0.01), which means self-concept predicts resilience significantly. Magnitude of the role of self-concept to the resilience is 51.1% and the remaining 48.9% is influenced by other factors. It can be concluded that self-concept contribute significantly to the pensioners resilience.
