摘要：Students often called as the intellectuals because their privileges in higher education. As intellectuals, the students are required to have sufficient intellectual qualities. One form of behavior that indicates intellectual qualities is the ability to solve problems (problem solving). However, the problem solving ability of the students is still inadequate, so that the students will be difficult to optimizing their potential at educational process and application in the workplace. Therefore we need an effort to improve the problem solving ability of the students. It is necessary to to improve the problem solving ability of student by increasing cognitive ability, and improve the quality of teaching.
