摘要：Nesse artigo discutiremos as representações da morte no Mediterrâneo romano a partir da Metamorphoseon de Lúcio Apuleio. Para tanto, traçaremos algumas reflexões críticas acerca dos rituais mortuários, pois, tal como entendemos, os funerais transformavam-se em espetáculos de poder em todo o Império Romano. Torna-se, então, relevante compreender a procissão funerária e seu desenrolar no espaço urbano, um vez que, juntamente com seus integrantes, os símbolos e as insígnias incorporavam um cerimonial teatralizado na sociedade, que colocava em cena o morto na estrutura de poder e em sua posição nas gerações da família.
其他摘要：In this article we will discuss the representations of death in the Roman Mediterranean in Metamorphoseon, by Lucius Apuleius. To do so, we will make some critical reflexions on the funerary rituals, for, as we understand them, they changed into spectacles of power throughout the Roman Empire. Thus, it is important to understand the funerary procession and its progress in urban space, for, along with their participants, the symbols and insignia embedded a theatrical ceremonial in society, which put in the scene the dead in the power structure and their position in the family generations.
