摘要：Quando chegou ao poder por meio da aclamação militar, em 284 d.C., Diocleciano enfrentou uma delicada situação: restabelecer a ordem do mundo romano afetado desde o ano 235 d.C. por inúmeras guerras civis, ocasionadas pelas disputas em torno do poder imperial. Buscando o fim deste ciclo de instabilidade política ocasionada principalmente pelas usurpações, promoveu a reestruturação da política imperial através da partição do poder em quatro titulares. O objetivo deste artigo é analisar a Tetrarquia de governo de Diocleciano, refletindo sobre a problemática da sucessão imperial.
其他摘要：When he came to power through military acclamation in 284 AD, Diocletian faced a delicate situation: to restore the order in the Roman world affected since 235 AD by numerous civil wars, caused by disputes over the imperial power. Looking for the end of this cycle of political instability caused mainly by usurpations, he promoted the restructuring of the imperial system through the partition of power in four holders. The purpose of this article is to analyze the Diocletian’s Tetrarchy government reflecting on the issue of the imperial succession.
