摘要：El objetivo del presente ensayo consiste en situar a Roma como paradigma histórico del modelo de imperio y defender la tesis de la translatio imperii hasta el carácter imperialista de Estados Unidos. Para ello atenderemos a la formación, contexto historiográfico y rasgos definitorios de ambos órdenes, mostrando así que los Estados Unidos constituyen en verdad un imperio y que suponen una actualización del arquetipo establecido con Roma.
其他摘要：The aim of the present essay is to place Rome as the historic paradigm of the model of Empire; and to defend the translatio imperii thesis up to the imperialistic character of the United States of America. In order to achieve this; we will look into the training; historiographical context and distinctive features on both orders; thus showing that the United States of America truly constitutes an Empire; and that they represent an updating on the archetype established with Rome.
