摘要：Situada no município de Crateús-CE, interior do Estado Ceará, a microbacia hidrográfica do Riacho dos Cavalos apresenta sérios problemas ambientais decorrentes do uso intensivo dos recursos naturais através de técnicas rudimentares e manejo incorreto do solo. O desmatamento constitui como principal impacto verificado nesta área, provocando assim a degradação das terras pelos processos erosivos, e apresentando, em alguns setores, cenários de desertificação. O objetivo do presente artigo é apresentar uma metodologia de análise da cobertura fitogeográfica da microbacia do Riacho dos Cavalos através Índice de Vegetação por Diferença Normalizada (NDVI). E dessa forma, avaliar o estado geral de degradação ambiental, por meio da análise dos índices de cobertura vegetal que classificam diretamente os níveis de proteção do solo através da densidade da vegetação. Este trabalho resultou ainda na elaboração dos mapas de índice de cobertura vegetal da microbacia dos anos de 1979 e 2006, que serviram acima de tudo, para uma avaliação das transformações ocorridas, em termos de cobertura, ocupação e uso do território da microbacia entre esses anos.
其他摘要：Located in the municipality of Crateús – CE, in the countryside of the state of
Ceará, the microbasin of Riacho dos Cavalos presents serious environmental
problems deriving from the intense use of natural resources through primitive
techniques and incorrect management of the soil. The deforestation constitutes
the main impact that is verified in the area, provoking the degradation of the
lands by erosive processes, and presents, in some sectors, scenarios of
desertification. The objective of this article is to present a methodology for the
analysis of the phytogeographical cover of the microbasin of Riacho dos
Cavalos through the normalized difference vegetation índex (NDVI). This way
we can evaluate the general state of environmental degradation, through the
analysis of vegetal cover indexes that classify directly the levels of soil
protection through the density of vegetation. This work resulted still, in the
elaboration of maps of vegetal cover indexes of the microbasin for the years of
1979 and 2006, which were useful, above all, for the evaluation of the
transformation that occurred, in terms of cover, ocupation and use of the
microbasin´s territory between these years.
