摘要：Este escrito analisa, a partir do desenvolvimento do projeto Memória docente e justiça escolar, algumas razões que levaram professoras aposentadas da Rede Estadual de Ensino de SantaCatarina a escolher e permanecer na carreira docente. O recortetemporal para efetuar a análise é entre meados dos anos de 1950 ea década de 1960. Acreditamos que, ao compreender as causas queas moveram a escolher e perseverar na prática da profissão, bemcomo questões que marcaram sua carreira profissional, contribuímospara o entendimento de perspectivas caras à carreira docente quepermitem pensar a história da formação e a memória das docentescatarinenses, não em si mesmas, mas como constituidoras de umcampo maior e mais complexo, que articula história e sociologia daeducação.
其他摘要：This paper analyzes, as from the development of the project Teaching memory and school justice, some reasons why retired school teachers from the State of Santa Catarina have chosen and remained in their professions. The timeframe of the analysis ranges from the mid-1950s to the end of the 60s. We believe that understanding the reasons that encouraged those teachers to choose and persevere in teaching and the issues that marked their careers can contribute to the understanding of the teaching career perspectives, considering the history and the memory of school teachers from the State of Santa Catarina, not only per se, but also as constituents of a broader and more complex field that combines history and sociology of education.
