摘要：O pavilhão 3 da Universidade de Buenos Aires (UBA), de autoria dos arquitetos Caminos e Catalano (1959-1962), projetado como um de vários edifícios genéricos, se transformará na sede da Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo (FAU) em 1971, embora inconcluso. Em 1984, com o retorno à democracia, a FAU se transformará em FADU com a incorporação de novas carreiras de Diseño e explodirá demograficamente com a consolidação do ingresso livre e irrestrito às universidades públicas da Argentina. Neste artigo, analisa-se o edifício como singular suporte físico, que se entrelaça ao seu complementar suporte relacional: enquanto a análise do primeiro se aprofunda em suas características possibilitantes, a partir de um entendimento sistemático, a investigação do segundo é abordada através do dispositivo de 26 cátedras verticais, que absorvem uma matrícula de 11.000 estudantes na carreira de arquitetura. Este estudo se apoia numa noção ampliada do infraestrutural, fundamentada em teorias iniciadas na década de 1960 e retomadas no final dos 1990, como no ensaio “Condições de campo”, de Stan Allen, sintetizadas na expressão do autor quando afirma que "a forma importa, mas não tanto as formas das coisas, e sim a forma entre as coisas".
其他摘要：The pavilion 3 of the University of Buenos Aires was designed by the architects Caminos and Catalano (1959-1962) and was planned as one of several generic buildings. It was designated the center of the Architecture and Urbanism Faculty (FAU) in 1971, though unfinished. In 1984 with the return of democracy the FAU became the FADU with the incorporation of design courses and enrollment soared with the opening of free and unrestricted admission to public universities in Argentina. This article analyzes the interaction of the building as a singular physical entity and its complementary relational aspects: whereas in the former this study analyzes more deeply possible characteristics from a systematic understanding, the latter investigates the system of twenty six “vertical cátedras” that includes 11,000 architectural students. This research is based on an expanded concept of infrastructure using theories developed in the 1960s and taken up again at the end of the 1990s as in the essay "Field Conditions" by Stan Allen summarized by the author's statement "Form matters, but not so much the forms of things as the forms between things".
