摘要：O presente artigo desenvolveu um estudo sobre as variações tipológicas presentes no Cemitério da Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Pelotas com o intuito de possibilitar classificações mais amplas sobre a arquitetura tumular do século XIX. Para isso, aproximadamente 2.000 túmulos foram analisados e três escalas foram criadas para organizar as variações encontradas. Divididos em escala pessoal, semi monumental e monumental, e destinados a inumações primárias ou secundárias, os túmulos apresentaram 20 tipologias. Elas variaram desde construções mais simples e horizontalizadas até obras de maiores dimensões verticais e horizontais onde a edificação tornou-se mais representativa que o morto. Com isso, ampliou-se a classificação da arquitetura tumular, diminuindo generalizações e abrindo a discussão para que outras variações possam ser interpretadas e permitam complementar as tipologias a partir de estudos futuros sobre os cemitérios oitocentistas.
其他摘要：The present article has developed a study on the typological variations present
in the Cemetery of Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Pelotas in order to make possible
broader classifications on the tomb architecture of the 19th century. For this,
approximately 2000 tombs were analyzed and three scales were created to organize
the variations found. Divided into personal scale, semi monumental and monumental,
and intended for primary or secondary burials, the tombs presented 20
typologies. They ranged from simpler and more horizontal constructions to larger
vertical and horizontal works where building became more representative than the
dead. With this, the classification of the tomb architecture was extended, reducing
generalizations and opening the discussion so that other variations can be interpreted
and allow complementing the typologies from future studies on the nineteenth-century
cemeteries.
