摘要：El artículo presenta un balance de la situación de la inmigración y de los inmigrantes en España. Comienza explicando las tres etapas del proceso de constitución de la «España inmigrante» y las características de cada una de ellas. A continuación describe algunos de los rasgos de los inmigrantes en España como su origen nacional y las zonas donde residen, su estructura por sexos, edades, nivel educativo y tipos de permisos de residencia. La parte central del artículo analiza la situación de los inmigrantes en el mercado de trabajo (explicando sus tasas de actividad y de paro y las características de los empleos que ocupan) y en el sistema educativo, tanto no universitario como universitario. Los epígrafes finales del texto exponen brevemente algunos aspectos de los discurso y actitudes de los españoles ante la inmigración y los desafíos políticos que plantea la cuestión migratoria en España y en la Unión Europea, con especial referencia a las políticas antidiscriminatorias.
其他摘要：The article presents a summary of the situation of immigration and of the immigrants to Spain. It begins by explaining the three stages in the process of formation of «Immigrant Spain» and the characteristics of each. It then goes on to describe some of the traits which characterize immigrants in Spain such as their national origin and the regions where they live, their gender and age structure, educational level and types of residence permits. The central part of the paper analyses the situation of immigrants in the labour market (explaining their activity and unemployment rate as well as the characteristics of the employments they hold) and in the educational system, The final headings in the text briefly unfold some aspects of the Spanish population’s discourse and attitudes towards immigration and the political challenges for Spain and for the European Union posed by migration, with special reference to antidiscrimination policies.
