摘要：Este artículo se pregunta si las políticas europeas de inmigración se configuran según las tradiciones de la construcción del Estado-nación específicas de cada país o si, por el contrario, están convergiendo hacia metas políticas similares. Los autores desarrollan una amplia tipología de políticas de inmigración en Europa occidental tomando como base cuatro casos estudiados sobre el desarrollo de esta política durante treinta años (Reino Unido, Francia, Alemania y los Países Bajos). Esta tipología muestra convergencias en algunos campos, pero revela diferencias significativas en otros.
其他摘要：This article raises the question as to whether European immigrant policies are shaped by country-specific traditions of building the nation-state or whether, on the contrary, they are converging toward similar policy goals. On the basis of four case studies of 30 years of policy development (United Kingdom, France, Germany, and the Netherlands), the authors develop a broad typology of immigrant policies in Western Europe. This typology shows a convergence in some policy fields, but reveals significant difference in others.
