摘要：Este artigo reflete sobre a existência de um cânone para os anos finais do Ensino Fundamental (6º ao 9º). Aborda a influência do Programa Nacional Biblioteca da Escola (PNBE) e dos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCN) na constituição do cânone e também as condições materiais necessárias para o conhecimento desse cânone pelos estudantes que, nessa fase, comportam-se como "leitores anárquicos" (Petucci, 1999); Pensa a tensão entre cânone (Reis, 1992) e diversidade, enfocando o papel da diversidade dos gêneros textuais prevista nos PCN no alargamento do cânone para esse grupo. Por fim, aborda a obra teatral de Maria Clara Machado, que tem se firmado como autora canônica do teatro infantil brasileiro. Conclui que diversos gêneros textuais estão presentes no PNBE, entretanto, de forma desigual, uma vez que predominam textos em prosa sobre textos em verso e que o teatro está entre os gêneros de menor aquisição, o que pode decorrer da pouca oferta desse gênero pelo mercado editorial no Brasil, mas também pode significar um desprestígio do gênero, decorrente do seu desconhecimento, atestado pela escassez de pesquisas a respeito da temática ou por ser este um gênero que extrapola o literário.
其他摘要：The goal of this article is to discuss the influence of the Brazilian Programa Nacional Biblioteca
da Escola (PNBE) and its articulation with the official discourse, in the composition of the school
literary canon of the Final Years of Primary Education (6th to 9th year), departing from the conception
of canon by Reis (1992). The proposal is to ponder about the tension between diversity (Gomes)
and canon, initially by approaching ethnic diversity (Federal Law 10.639/2003) and, later, the diversity
of discourse genres (PCNs) in extending the canon to this educational cluster. We conclude that the
school literary canon has become diverse, but it is still uneven. In this context, theatre is emphasized
for being one of the genres with smaller participation in the program. This may result from the lack
of this genre in the Brazilian publishing market, but it may also mean a lack of prestige of this genre,
which stems from the few knowledge about it, attested by the lack of research on the subject.
