摘要：Este artigo analisa a obra O vento assobiando nas gruas (2002), de Lídia Jorge, como um exemplo das tendências formais e das preocupações críticas do romance português contemporneo. A narrativa jorgiana, principalmente por meio da ironia, questiona a relação problemática da sociedade pós-colonial portuguesa com a imigração intensa de africanos para seu país, e assim revisa sentidos que deram base à maneira portuguesa de se uto-identificar perante o “outro”.
其他摘要：This paper analyzes the novel O vento assobiando nas gruas , by Lídia Jorge, as an example of the formal tendencies and of the critical concern in the Portuguese contemporary novel. Jorge’s narrative, especially by means of irony, questions the problematic relations of the post colonial Portuguese society with the African imigration to Portugal, and also reviews the manner in which the Portuguese identify themselves and the “Others”.
