摘要：O objetivo da pesquisa é analisar a representação da figura materna no conto “Mãe, o cacete” de Ivana Arruda Leite dentro da perspectiva dos estudos feministas e de gênero. A partir da análise do conto, foi possível identificar a representação da mãe/monstro, rompendo, portanto, com formações enraizadas no imaginário de uma sociedade patriarcal que santifica a figura materna. This study aims to analyze the representation of the maternal figure in Ivana Arruda Leite’s short story “Mãe, o cacete” from the perspective of feminist and gender studies. I tried to identify the representation of the mother / monster, therefore breaking away from notions rooted in the imagination of a patriarchal society that sanctifies motherhood.
