摘要:O estudo busca contribuir e incrementar debates sobre o que vem sendo produzido e disseminado, na Teoria das Representações Sociais sobre a profissão docente. Trata-se de uma revisão da literatura realizada no Portal de Periódicos da CAPES. Foram selecionados 53 artigos a partir dos descritores bem como seus correlatos em inglês e italiano: “representações sociais” and “profissão docente”; "representações sociais" and "profissão professor"; “representações sociais” and “professor”; "representações sociais" and "atividade docente". O período considerado foi de 2006 a 2015. Os dados foram processados no software IRAMUTEQ. Os resultados foram apresentados em 03 classes semânticas distribuídas em dois eixos principais: Profissão Docente e Teoria e Prática. Concluiu-se a necessidade da ampliação de pesquisas com os demais profissionais da área da educação, que não apenas os estudantes do curso de pedagogia, a fim de que sejam delineadas propostas de intervenção na formação e na atuação docente.
