摘要：This article aims to explore some of the key concepts that constituted the political ideas of the men that created the constitutions of the state of Costa Rica. This exercise will certainly allow us to understand more clearly the pact-based foundations of the Central American States during this period. At the same time, it calls into question the classic historiographical stance, which affi rms that liberalism was the ideology that represented the basis for this process.
