摘要：Este trabalho tem o objetivo de analisar as articulações e conjunturas políticas do Rio Grande do Sul na década de 1932, especialmente entre os anos de 1932 e 1937, período em que teve existência o Partido Republicano Liberal, fundado pelo então interventor federal José Antônio Flores da Cunha. Para melhor compreender as dinâmicas locais deste partido político, relacionando-as com as estruturas provenientes das esferas nacional e estadual, escolhemos analisar os Diretórios Municipais de São Leopoldo e Novo Hamburgo.
