摘要：O presente artigo aborda o debate sobre a relação entre moralidade e teoria da evolução a partir da publicação de A Origem das Espécies. Primeiramente, discute-se a hipótese darwiniana acerca das origens evolutivas da moralidade humana, que buscava explicar, a partir de um ponto de vista evolutivo, aquela que seria a “mais distintiva das capacidades humanas”. Na sequência, aborda-se a busca por uma orientação normativa no processo evolutivo, a partir das hipóteses de Herbert Spencer e dos darwinistas sociais. O objetivo é mostrar como este último programa envolve enganos do ponto de vista científico e do ponto de vista filosófico, diferindo radicalmente do programa descritivo oferecido por Darwin.
其他摘要：This paper addresses the debate on the relationship between morality and biological
evolution since the publication of The Origin of Species. Firstly, the Darwinian hypothesis about
the evolutionary origins of human morality, which sought to explain, from an evolutionary point
of view, what would be the "most distinctive of human capacities" is discussed. In the sequence,
the search for a normative orientation in the evolutionary process is approached, from the
hypotheses of Herbert Spencer and the social darwinists. The objective is to show how this latter
program involves deceptions from a scientific and philosophical point of view, differing radically
from the descriptive program offered by Darwin.
