摘要：pertencente ao município de São Francisco do Sul e localizada na baía Babitonga, no litoral norte de Santa Catarina, a Ilha da Rita foi uma base naval de importância estratégica durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Este artigo objetiva compreender a Ilha da Rita de forma ampla, considerando seus aspectos históricos, sociais, econômicos, geográficos, ambientais e, principalmente, sua relação com os indivíduos, sobre como é representada e como poderá ser apropriada e ressignificada. Diante disso, optou-se pelo estudo interdisciplinar do patrimônio cultural a partir da identificação e análise das representações sociais. Utilizou-se, para isso, a Teoria das Representações Sociais e a compreensão de que estas são importantes para discutir o patrimônio cultural na contemporaneidade. A pesquisa bibliográfica buscou aprofundar os conceitos de representações sociais, patrimônio cultural, memória, identidade, identificação e interdisciplinaridade. O registro da memória oral foi feito utilizando a metodologia da História Oral, e as entrevistas confirmaram a hipótese de que ela é considerada um patrimônio cultural, bem como apresentaram dados sobre a ocupação da região, memórias sobre sua utilização enquanto base naval e apontaram caminhos para a discussão sobre a sua requalificação.
其他摘要：the Ilha da Rita [Rita’s Island] belongs to the city of São Francisco do Sul and is located in the baía Babitonga [Babitonga’s bay], in the north coast of Santa Catarina. It was a naval base of strategic importance during the Second World War. This article aims to understand the Rita Island in a broadly context, considering its historical, social, economic, geographical and environmental aspects, especially its relationship with individuals, as is represented and as may be appropriate and resignified. Therefore we opted for the interdisciplinary study of cultural heritage from the identification and analysis of social representations. It was used for this, the Theory of Social Representations and the understanding that these are important to discuss the cultural heritage in contemporaneity. The bibliographical research aimed to deepen the concepts of social representations, cultural heritage, memory, identity, identification and interdisciplinarity. The record of the oral memory was done using the methodology of oral history and the interviews confirmed the hypothesis that it is considered a cultural heritage and presented data on the occupation of the region, memories of its use as a naval base and point to ways of the discussion on its requalification.
