摘要：Este artigo versa sobre as pesquisas arqueológicas pré-coloniais para a implantação de uma Linha de Transmissão de Energia pela AESul - Distribuidora Gaúcha de Energia Ltda entre os anos de 2007 e 2008. A área abrange parcialmente os municípios de Santa Cruz do Sul e Sinimbú. As coordenadas na SE de Santa Cruz do Sul são (E: 360251816 e N: 6713406132) e na SE Sinimbú, (E:353180000 e N:6731809000) no município de Sinimbú, numa extensão de 21,48 Km. Foram identificados novos sítios arqueológicos associados a Tradição Umbu e Tradição Tupiguarani. The area partially covers the municipalities of Santa Cruz do Sul and Sinimbú. The coordinates of the SE of Santa Cruz do Sul are (E: 360251816 and N: 6713406132) and SE Sinimbú, (E: 353180000 and N: 6731809000) in the municipality of Sinimbú, with an extension of 21.48 Km. archaeological traditions associated with Umbu Tradition and Tupiguarani Tradition.

The area partially encompasses the Santa Cruz do Sul and Sinimbú municipalities. The Santa Cruz do Sul SE coordinates are E 360251816 e N 6713406132 and the Sinimbú coordinates are E 353180000 and N 6731809000 at Sinimbú municipality in an area stretching 21,48 km. New archaeological sites associated to the Umbu and Tupiguarani traditions were identified lying under study.
