摘要：Esse artigo aborda a formação histórica, ao longo do século XX, do conceito de “Cadeia Operatória” no seio da ciência antropológica e, como este, paulatinamente, serviu de empréstimo à Arqueologia, sendo empregado dentro do raciocínio analítico de materiais arqueológicos líticos de diferentes temporalidades. Abstract: This article proposes a historical revision of the Chaîne Opératoire, during the 20th century. The concept of Chaîne Opératoire was developed in the Anthropological science and it was gradually used by Archaeology in the reasoning of archaeological lithic material analysis of different periods.
