摘要：Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan fenomena batu akik pada masa orde baru di masyarakat Gunung Kidul dalam novel Maya karya Ayu Utami.Budaya dibentuk dari bahasa, sistem teknologi, sistem mata pencaharian, organisasi social, sistem pengetahuan, sistem religi, dan kesenian.Deskripsi bentuk budaya Jawa di masyarakat Gunung Kidul, makna simbolis batu akik di masyarakat Gunung Kidul, serta dampak yang di timbulkan akibat adanya fenomena batu akik yang ada di masyarakat Gunung Kidul. Dalam hal ini, kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap batu akik, merupakan bagian dari bentuk budaya Jawa.Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik deskripstif.Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa deskripsi fenomena batu akik pada masa orde bari di masyarakat Gunung Kidul dalam novel Maya karya Ayu Utami. The purpose of this study is to describe the phenomenon of agate in the new order in society Gunung Kidul in Maya by Ayu Utami's novel.
