摘要：Ao observar seu próprio patrimônio cultural, em especial na escola, o sujeito se torna consciente da grande heterogeneidade de traços culturais ligados à variedade dos grupos étnicos que coexistem no espaço nacional, que se distribuidos diversamente, conforme as camadas sociais. Infelizmente os traços culturais diferentes não configuram, de modo algum, um conjunto harmonioso de união entre as pessoas. O presente estudo tem o intuito de demonstrar como a heterogeneidade brasileira é um fenômeno presente na vida do homem moderno, e a educação intercultural é necessária para a validação de uma educação para todos, justificando a necessidade de as pessoas conviverem com as diferenças de seus “semelhantes” e diferenças estas, que se emaranham com o conceito de inclusão que, por vezes, ao ser mencionado ou colocado em debate é identificado somente à inclusão da pessoa com deficiência. O estudo é de natureza documental bibliográfico, organizado a partir da revisão de produções clássicas na área dos estudos culturais. Com isso, constatamos que a tríade entre educação intercultural, inclusão e diferença é o caminho para construção de uma escola mais igualitária.
