摘要：Na segunda metade do século XIX, apesar de vários fatores concorrerem para o declínio econômico e político do Ceará, a atividade artística, principalmente a literária, foi intensa e fecunda em Fortaleza. Vários intelectuais formavam agremiações, espaços de sociabilidade onde discutiam os mais variados assuntos, sobretudo os literários. O escritor cearense Leonardo Mota (1938), procurando fazer um levantamento das academias e grêmios literários que surgiram entre 1870 e 1939, responsáveis pela propagação das letras no Ceará, concluiu que, de 1870 até 1900, foram trinta e sete os grupos que atuaram no contexto intelectual cearense, e a maior parte surge na cidade de Fortaleza. Segundo diversos estudiosos, como é o caso de Dolor Barreira (1948), foi de extrema importância para a história da literatura cearense a presença de revistas e jornais literários veiculados por essas agremiações.
其他摘要：Although various factors had contributed to the economic and political decline of the State of Ceara, in the second half of the 19th century, artistic activity, mainly literary, was intense and plentiful in Fortaleza. A number of intellectuals formed separate associations, places for social interchange where they discussed many diverse issues especially literary ones. Leonardo Mota (1938), a writer from Ceara, surveying the academies and literary groups that emerged between 1870 and 1939, who were also responsible for the spread of literature in Ceara, concluded that, from 1870 to 1900, there were thirty seven groups acting within the intellectual context of Ceara, most of them from the city of Fortaleza. According to several scholars like Dolor Barreira (1948), the literary magazines and journals distributed by those associations, were of extreme importance to the history of literature in Ceara.
