摘要：O objetivo de nosso artigo é buscar através da discussão da criação, história e funcionamento de um museu em particular, o Museu Histórico e Pedagógico de Ourinhos, fazer uma análise mais ampla sobre os museus municipais. Para isso buscamos fazer uma reflexão sobre os objetivos iniciais destas instituições, sua relação e diálogo com a comunidade onde estão inseridos, tanto no passado como no presente e os problemas que estas instituições enfrentam nos dias atuais.
其他摘要：The purpose of our article is to seek, through a discussion about the creation, history and operation of a particular museum, the Historical and Pedagogical Museum of Ourinhos, to make a broader analysis of municipal museums. For such, we sought to contemplate the initial goals of these institutions, their relationship and exchange of ideas with the communities in which they are embedded, both in the past and in the present time, and the problems which these institutions are currently facing.
