摘要：RESUMEN: La presente investigación analiza las circunstancias en que se gesta la reforma del Ejército y de las guardas de la época de Carlos V en 1525, cuyas claves orgánicas y económicas se contienen en diversos memoriales. La eficacia de la reforma fue relativa, como se desprende de la minuciosa visita que se realiza el año siguiente a las fortalezas y guarniciones del reino de Granada. ABSTRACT: This study analyses the circumstances under which the reform of the Army, and that of the guards of the era of Charles V, in 1525, took place and whose organic and economic keys are contained in various memoranda. The efficiency of the reform was relative, as revealed by the meticulous inspection visits paid the following year to the fortresses and garrisons of the Kingdom of Granada.
