excelencia pedagógica elevadas dado que, tal como afirma Renobell (2005), el análisis
de la imagen estimula el desarrollo de la capacidad crítica y contribuye al desarrollo de
un estilo personal por la adquisición paulatina de una cultura visual.
La imagen educa y consecuentemente su presencia en el ámbito de la enseñanza no debe
ser un mero acompañamiento del texto. No debe limitarse a ornamentar o ejemplificar
un contenido lingüístico, sino complementarlo y profundizar en él, activando el
pensamiento y la reflexión del lector.
En la cultura de Internet, la imagen como foco de conocimiento, de uso compartido, de
contenido social y de intencionalidad formativa contribuye a explicar el alcance y
efervescencia de este medio tecnológico, protagonista del actual cambio y movimiento
social.
La cultura de la red ha cambiado nuestra sensibilidad perceptiva frente a las imágenes,
que ahora son complejas, integradas, multidimensionales y dinámicas. La interactividad,
la fuerte relación con el contenido textual, la secuencialidad gráfica, el sonido asociado
o la esculturalidad icónica revelan la importancia de la imagen en una cultura

reflection of the reader.

educational purposes, contribute to explain the implications and vivacity around this
technological environment, which plays a leading role in the current social changes and
movements.
The culture of the network has changed our perceptual sensitivity to interpret images,
which are now more complex, integrated, multidimensional and dynamic than ever. The
interactivity, the strong relationship with the text content, the graphic sequentiality, the
associated sound effects or the iconical text design reveal the importance of image in the
net culture.
