摘要：O artigo busca analisar o estágio atual em que se encontra a separação dos resíduos recicláveis nos órgãos públicos federais, no ano do décimo aniversário do Decreto nº 5.940/2006, que instituiu a separação dos resíduos recicláveis descartados na fonte geradora e a sua destinação às associações e cooperativas dos catadores de materiais recicláveis. A metodologia utilizada consistiu de estudo bibliográfico e documental e do uso de questionários semiestruturados, encaminhados a órgãos e entidades da administração pública federal direta e indireta. Os resultados demonstram que pouco mais da metade das instituições pesquisadas declaram já ter implantado a coleta seletiva e menos da metade estão destinando os resíduos às associações e cooperativas de catadores. Como sugestão para pesquisas futuras, registra-se o aprofundamento nas causas da baixa observância às normas e a realização de pesquisas com órgãos estaduais e municipais.
其他摘要：The article seeks to analyze the current stage of separation of recyclable waste in federal public
agencies, in the year of the tenth anniversary of Decree No. 5,940 / 2006, which established the separation
of recyclable waste discarded at the generating source and its destination to associations and cooperatives
of recyclable material collectors. The methodology used consisted of bibliographical and documentary
study and the use of semi-structured questionnaires, sent to agencies and entities of the direct and indirect
federal public administration. The results demonstrate that slightly more than half of the institutions
surveyed state they have already implemented selective collection and less than half are directing the
waste to the associations and cooperatives of the collectors. As recommendation for further research,
it is noted the deepening of the causes of low compliance with standards and conducting research with
state and municipal agencies.
