摘要：O objetivo deste artigo foi o identificar o potencial do município de Araraquara para a promoção de vagas de estágio para o curso de Administração Pública da UNESP. Esta identificação foi guiada por quatro dimensões analíticas, que se entrelaçam e interferem diretamente na oferta de vagas para o estágio e na dinâmica de sua execução. Nota-se que esta avaliação foi embasada em pesquisas com dados secundários disponíveis na Fundação SEADE, no Relatório Anual de Informações Sociais, no IBGE, no portal do curso de Administração Pública da Universidade Estadual Paulista e no portal da prefeitura municipal de Araraquara. Constatou-se que o município apresenta elevado potencial para geração de vagas de estágio para o curso de Administração Pública no município. Contudo, apresenta uma competitividade, em termos de potencial para gerar vagas, maior que os outros municípios que ofertam cursos no “Campo de Públicas”. Nota-se que há, proporcionalmente, um número menor de organizações ativas, logo os estudantes concorrem em um número maior por uma possível vaga.
其他摘要：The aim of this paper was to identify the potential of the municipality of Araraquara for the
promotion of traineeships for the Public Administration course at UNESP. This identification was guided
by four analytical dimensions that intertwine and directly interfere in the offer of places for the stage and in
the dynamics of its execution. This evaluation was based on research with secondary data available in the
SEADE Foundation, the Annual Social Information Report, the IBGE, the Public Administration course
of the Universidade Estadual Paulista and in the portal of the municipal government of Araraquara. It was
found that the municipality has a high potential for generation of internships for the Public Administration
course in the municipality. However, it has a competitiveness in terms of potential to generate vacancies,
higher than the other municipalities that offer courses in the “Public Field”. There is, proportionally, a
smaller number of active organizations, so the students compete in a larger number for a possible intership
vacancy.
